4553 Diabetic Foot: A manual of preventive care dedicated to the diabetic patient and your family

Purpose: This manual was developed to the patient with Diabetic Foot and to your family. The production of the manual associated with the need of to offer to the patient a complete guide of the feet care, and also, to offer easy explanations of the”physiological reasons” to adopt each recommended care. There was the preoccupation with the illustrations, the letter size and clarity and objectiveness of the informations within the manual.
Objective: To offer educational material to patients of  the Diabetic Aid Program. It would help these patients to prevent the Diabetic Foot Ulcers events or to prevent the ulcers recurrences.
Results: The manual of the Diabetic Foot with its objective and clear informations has helped on the comprehension of the changes occurred in the diabetic feet, and along with a diabetic educational program has resulted in a more adhesion to the daily care, to the use of the adequate shoes, among others care, and thus, has collaborated to the feet coetaneous integrity of these diabetic patients.
