My poster will consist of a pictorial wound history. A 55 year old white female developed an infection s/p multilayer laminectomies. When i was asked to see her she had an open wound with exposed dura and hardware. The vacuum assisted closure device was used to assit with the develpment of granulation tissue over the dura and the hardware. This approach proved successful and complete closure was obtained with in 12 weeks.
