The object of this study is the registers of the nursing team on the cares in the treatment of ulcer for pressure in hospitalized customers. The research had as objective: To identify in handbooks of the customer the registers on the cares carried through in the treatment of the ulcers for pressure, carried through for the nursing theam; to verify the existence of the description of characteristics you specify of this wound, that are: schedule of the procedure, appearance of the injury, presence, aspect and amount of exsudato, format and dimension of the injury, aspect of the edge of the injury, aspect of the skin around of the injury and products used in the procedure and to anlyze the characteristics of the registers of the dressings for ulcer of pressure to the light of the theoretical and normative referenciais that base this practical of nursing. The theoretical referencial is based on Kurcgant , Possari, Dealey and Almeida. Quantitative research through the tecnique of the auditorship was carried through retrospect and analyzes of the content of 22 handbooks of customers with ulcer for pressure, hospitalized in the period of December of 2006 the March of 2007, in the University Hospital Pedro Ernesto. Joined results: It was come across with quantitative high of registers with deficiency in relation a description of the variable of the study, with this evidenced it necessity of if having one better systematization of the description of the register of the dressing of ulcer for pressure. This study it favored a space for reflection of it practices of nursing, how much to the registers, of form to value the performance of these professional and contributes for the growth of the nursing.
