Poster Guidelines
The WOCN/WCET Joint Conference Planning Committee invites you to submit an abstract describing a research study, case study, practice innovation, or international project in the areas of professional practice, wound, ostomy or continence. Abstracts may be submitted for oral or poster presentation.
Due to the number of abstracts received for the 2010 WOCN/WECET Joint Conference, the review process is taking longer than anticipated. You will be notified by January 8th of acceptance or rejection of your abstract submission
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION CLOSED
The deadlines to enter new abstracts and to edit existing abstracts have been reached. The Review Process
The review process is completed by a committee composed of representatives from the 2010 WOCN/WCET Joint Conference Planning Committee and content/research experts. Abstracts are blind reviewed (meaning that the person who reads and rates an abstract does not know the names of the author(s)). The numerical rankings for the different criteria of an abstract are then averaged and used to decide to accept or reject the abstract.
All abstracts will be considered for oral presentation. New this year for this special joint conference is that selected oral abstracts will be presented in designated concurrent sessions in each of the four conference tracts (Wounds, Ostomy, Continence and Professional Practice). Additionally, a selection of "research study" abstract topics that contribute significantly to the evidence base of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence nursing practice will be presented during one general conference session, as oral presentations.
