Cases report of trans-stomal fistula caused by hard baseplate wafer

Stomal fistula can be resulted of a foreign body that injury the wall of the colon (Beverly GH, Ruth AB, 1992). Trans- stomal fistula is a rare complication nowadays. In 2008, I saw 2 cases was suffer from trans-stomal fistula within a year. Thay are not causing by sharp injury nor any incidential injury. They are also causing by inappropriate baseplate cutting opening of a hard baseplate wafer.
