Biographical Sketch: Sharon Baranoski MSN, RN, CWCN, APN, FAAN is a Mastered prepared Advanced Practice Nurse, who is Board Certified as a wound care nurse (CWCN). She is internationally recognized as an author, speaker, and consultant. She is President of Wound Care Dynamics, Inc. a nurse consultant service. She has authored two editions of the textbook, Wound Care Essential: Practice Principles; and over 100 articles, & numerous book chapters related to wound care topics.
Sharon has served as the Director of the Annual Clinical Symposium on Skin & Wound Care hosted by Lippincott, William and Wilkins for 25 years. She is a Past President and an alumnus of the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Board. She was honored in 2009 with the Distinguished Kosiak Award from the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (NPUAP). She is currently on the Board of Directors of the American Professional Wound Care Association; a Member of the World Council of Enterostomal Therapist and the Wound Ostomy & Continence Association. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and is a Fellow in the prestigious American Academy of Nursing.
