Biographical Sketch: Dr. Kirsner is Professor and Vice Chairman and sits in the endowed Stiefel Laboratories Chair in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Kirsner is immediate on the board of the Wound Healing Society and is a founding member and past president of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC), the leading clinical organization in wound care. He is co-directs of the largest multi-disciplinary wound care meeting in the United States, the Symposium for Advanced Wound Care (SAWC).
Dr. Kirsner directs the world renowned wound care program at the University of Miami and has received awards for his research, teaching and clinical activities. He is co-editor of a comprehensive book, “Wound Healing”, he has authored over 270 peer reviewed articles .
