Introduction: Share experience of partnership between the Support Group of the Persons with an Ostomy tied to a University through extension activities, Department of Health, by his staff of the Service of Attention to Persons with an Ostomy and the School of Public Health, and representatives regional associations of persons with an ostomy state in southern Brazil with the objective of enabling technical and administrative state professionals to manage, implement, evaluate work processes, focusing on the humanization of health care for people with urinary and intestinal stoma. Methodology: It use conferences, lectures, lectures and workshops given by professionals and people with stoma. Course aimed at multidisciplinary teams of professionals from senior staff in public hospitals, Basic Network, Regional Services of Health, municipalities and user representatives per region of the state. Total of 16 class hours. Classes with up to 120 participants. In the workshops, each class is divided into four groups and worked on the Awareness and Care Care Practice. Results: The training, this pattern favors the work process and management, providing the theoretical foundations for professional practice: principles of care, anatomy, physiology and epidemiology related to intestinal and urinary stoma; indication and types of stomas, preventing colorectal cancer; hospitalization process, emotional approach, social support, nutritional support, evaluation and selection of equipment; Principles and Guidelines of the National Health Care System with focus on the person with an stoma in Brazil and in the State, exchange of experiences of awareness for care, care practice, and Final Plenary. Conclusion: The training partnership is a practice that combines technical knowledge, human skills and experiences for people with an ostomy may contribute to the formulation of a policy of health care for people with urinary and intestinal ostomy.
