The affective component of care is so prominent in nursing and in family. The love and emotional interest lead to confusion among the professional role and the bond of friendship between people with intestinal stoma and health professionals. Research outline entitled "Social Networks of People with stoma. Qualitative study with semistructured interviews. We interviewed 12 people stomized with at least two years of stoma in a municipality in southern Brazil, from August 2007 to March 2008. The research project was approved by the Ethics in Research with Human Beings of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Case Number 128/2005, according to Resolution 196/96Nursing emphasizes the professional distance and exercises to guide their work. With the stoma person, the emotional exchange with health professionals is constant and transcends the merely technical knowledge. The research aimed to describe the creation of ties of friendship after the professional relationship between people with intestinal stoma and professionals health1. This is one among many other manifestations of friendship when they relate to the health professionals. The proposed humanization involves experiential learning, yet little noticed in the health services. The groups studied stomized noted that there is a strong feeling of friendship developed during treatment. This bond is continuous and frequent and the people of the study is still living in groups often point to stimulate the development of this bond of friendshiplink.
