Biographical Sketch: Ruth Bryant is the co-creator and Director of the webWOC Nursing Education Program; the first online education program for the specialty of WOC nursing currently in it’s 11th year! She received her ET certificate from Jewish Hospital Washington University in St. Louis in 1979. Over the years she has worked as a WOC nurse first in Omaha, Nebraska then Minneapolis and Oklahoma City. Ruth completed her Masters degree in nursing from the University Of Minnesota School Of Nursing in 1989. Ruth has been an active leader in WOC nursing on the local, regional and national level. She served 2 terms as President of the WOCN Society, and served as a member of many committees such as the conference planning committee and test item review committee for the WOCNCB. Ruth is a writer, national and international speaker, and reviewer for the JWOCN. The 4th edition of her textbook Acute and Chronic Wounds was released this past January.
