Biographical Sketch:
I started as a Diploma graduate from Community Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, Ohio.  After 31 years in nursing and a variety of acute and subacute specialties I have settled on WOC Nursing as the most rewarding, creative, and challenging field of practice for me.  I have practiced nursing in Ohio, Colorado, California and am now in Louisiana.  I have spent the last ten years as the manager for a team of WOC Nurses in a very large acute care facility. My greatest love is teaching both in small and large groups.

My personal life is centered around my partner, my child and her new husband, along with seven pets and an elderly mother-in-law who requires 24 hour care. I am now firmly planted in the sandwich generation, feeling the pressures from both sides.

I enjoy gardening, sewing, cooking, puzzles and travel. Retirement is growing closer and I look forward to rest and grandchildren, if it is at all possible to have both at once!
