Biographical Sketch:
I graduated from nursing school in 1982. I worked as a nurse in Surgical ICU, Post Anesthesia Recovery, General Surgical Care and Home Health Care. In 1999 I attended WICKS School of Enterostomal Therapy. I have worked as a WOCN for the past 12 years in the inpatient, outpatient and home care setting. I am currently employed as a WOCN with Iowa Health Home Care in Urbandale Iowa. I have been an active member of the Iowa WOCN Affiliate since 1999. I served as secretary and currently serve as President Elect. I was honored to receive the Iowa WOCN Affiliate WOC Nurse of the Year Award in 2010. I am a past member of the National WOCN Marketing Committee. I was privileged to represent the WOCN Society at Nurses in Washington Internship in 2010.
