Do you wish your patients could receive exceptional care even when you are not available?  Well, now they CAN!  Empower the nursing staff to provide exceptional ostomy, fistula, or wound care in your absence with just a little help from you!

In our facility, we employ the use of pictorials and pink sheets to assist our staff members in providing continuity of patient care when we are not available.

WOCN staff will take pictures of any complex ostomy, fistula or wound management plan and then arrange them accordingly with explicit printed directions attached.  This "pictorial", which is then placed in the room, empowers your staff with the confidence and ability they need to provide excellent patient care, and will feel safe while doing so.

For basic ostomy, fistula, or wound care, eye catching pink sheets are placed in the patient's room with written directions and the corresponding Central Supply numbers to any products needed.  Nursing personnel does not waste time or money trying to decide what to get and then not using it!

The nurses feel successful, and it improves patient outcomes and satisfaction.  Continuity of care is also extended beyond discharge because the directions are often taken home for use by family members, and home health and extended care facility staff.

One last benefit: fewer unnecessary phone calls and trips to patient rooms for you!
