Biographical Sketch: Janet M. Davis has a varied clinical and educational background. She began her nursing career in the ICU where she developed an interest in wound care which lead her to the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center's WOCN Education program in 1991. While practicing as a bedside WOCN for 5 years, she obtained her masters in nursing and became a gerontological nurse practitioner.
While in her dual roles, she practiced interdependently in the LTC setting and outpatient settings for about 5 years before becoming the program co-director and director of the MD Anderson Cancer Center WOCNEP. Currently, she continues to educate others in the skin and wound care arena as an nurse consultant to 3M.
