abstract

This is Plastic Surgery unit, About 90% of patients due to acute and chronic wounds in need of wound care, Patients due to incomplete wound care, not only will the patient receive injury but also will increase the medical burden during hospitalization. The wound care correctness included: Assess and record the validity of wound, the nurses' knowledge and skill of wound care accuracy, The study period was from January 1 to March 31, 2014, Found that assess and record the validity of wound accuracy was 64%, the nurses' skill of wound care accuracy was 76%, the nurses' cognizance of wound care accuracy was 62%, After analyzing the factors included: inconsistency of wound care goals and cognitive, poverty of appropriate wound care tools and instruments and poverty of establish a complete wound care standards and establish auditing standard  of wound care, These deficits were addressed by establishing clear standards of care; a method for evaluating nursing skills; and professional training, including use of a technical education video and dressing manuals. After institution of these measures, Enhance the effectiveness of wound assessment and  record accuracy rate of 91%, 92% used appropriate skills in caring for wound and wound care accurately recognized of 94%. The program has not only improved the  occurrence of wound care, but it also improved the quality of nursing care.)B
