Biographical Sketch:
Sharon Dudley-Brown obtained her PhD in Nursing from The University of Maryland in 1995. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Dudley-Brown has held several academic appointments, including Associate Professor at The Catholic University of America, and Assistant Professor at The Catholic University of America, University of Delaware, University of Maryland and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

 

Sharon has worked as a Nurse Practitioner at several institutions, over the past 20 years. She has published several peer-reviewed papers and abstracts in the fields of nursing, inflammatory bowel disease and ulcerative colitis.

 

Sharon is a member of the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Advanced Nursing, Clinical Nursing Research, Gastroenterology Nursing Journal and has been on several journal review panels.

 

In addition, Sharon is a member of five professional societies, including the Society of Gastrointestinal Nurses and Associates (SGNA), since 1992, and she holds offices at five professional organisations.
