Biographical Sketch: Graduated with BSN from Madonna University in 2004 with bedside nursing experience in trauma and burn. Graduated from the Emory University education WOC nursing program in 2007. She has clinical experience as WOC nurse with multiple poster presentations on varied topics including pressure injury prevention, quality improvement, staff education, and complex wound management. She has given a podium presentation on the innovative implementation of a mobility assist team to improve early mobility and decrease pressure injury rates. She obtained MSN and AGACNP certification in 2014. Currently works as a nurse practitioner for surgery specialty team at level one trauma center and continues to provide wound, ostomy and fistula care for patients on the service. She is active in continuous quality improvement projects including preoperative stoma site marking, development of advance practice provider staff continuing education, and collaborative ostomy patient discharge. Meghan is also involved as a volunteer with the National WOCN society, including the scholarship taskforce and education committee.
