Purpose This study is being performed to construct evidence-based clinical guidelines and to develop standard peristomal care for prevention of peristomal skin problems in Korea  Methods Clinical guidelines were drafted through a comprehensive review of relevant literature and hospital protocols. The proposed guidelines were reviewed by a panel of experts, is being reviewed by 20 wound ostomy continence nurses, and will be refined on the basis of their suggestions. Pilot study will be performed to evaluate the effectiveness of this protocol.  Results Standard of peristomal care were developed according to healthy skin without preparation or protective film only group, and labile skin necessary protective film with powder. Another data will be collected and analysed.
